The moon is a satellite that orbits around the planet Earth. It has different cycles called moon phases. These moon phases are made by the changing shadow of the Earth on the moon. Our eyes see the changing shape of the bright part of the moon. The phase of the moon depends on the position of the sun and Earth.
There are eight phases of the moon:
1-New Moon, 2-Waxing Crescent, 3-1st Quarter, 4-Waxing Gibbous, 5-Full Moon, 6-Waning Gibbous, 7-Last Quarter, 8-Waning Crescent.
The lunar month is complete after all the cycles have passed in about 29.5 days.
The moon’s cycle can have an effect on the way we feel about things, in particular when the moon is Full or New.
Everybody can experience dramatic changes in their behavior. Stress, frustration, nervousness, lack of sleep and oversensitivity.
If you pay attention, you will notice more major bad events happen around a full/new moon and accentuates further around an Eclipse. From events like people raising voices to mass killing, murder, and other horrific crimes. Just pay attention.
And of course you will ask why? Is there is a reason this affects us and how can we manage this mood fluctuation?
In theory and in practice, the moon has effect on plants and animal, all farmers will tell you that they look at the moon to see when is the best time to plant or in approch of full moon the delivery of baby animals is more frequent.
Some scientists talk also about the effect of the moon on the oceans. In one word gravity. The gravitational forces of the moon give an alternating pattern of rising and falling sea level on earth. It is called the tide.
The human body is made up of about 75% water, so do we not also feel the mighty power of the moon!?!? It is a good question… At the moment, what I do to balance and minimise the effect of the moon’s fluctuation on my body is drink more water than usual. As soon as I do I feel my mood changing for the better. I guarantee you… IT WORKS.
